Privacy Policy

Information you give us. When you request an assessment, book a consult, call, text or email us, we collect what you provide:

• Contact details — name, phone number, email address and property address.
• Property and project details — the type of glass and openings, what you want to protect against, photos or measurements you share, and notes from the site visit.
• Communication records — emails, text messages, form submissions and call notes.
• Appointment and payment information — scheduling details and records of invoices and payments. We do not store full credit-card numbers; card payments are processed by our payment provider.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours records basic technical data when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and how you arrived at the site. We use this in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to keep it working properly.

We use the information above to:

• Respond to your enquiry, schedule a site visit and prepare your quote.
• Deliver and schedule the installation, and register your manufacturer warranty.
• Communicate about your project by phone, text or email.
• Keep business records, issue invoices and process payments.
• Send occasional updates about our services, only where you have agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.
• Meet legal, tax and insurance obligations.
• Maintain and improve our website.

If you tick the SMS consent box on our quote form, or text us first, we may text you about your enquiry, appointment reminders and project updates. Message frequency varies with your project; message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier.

Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for assistance. We do not sell or share your mobile number with third parties for their own marketing. SMS consent is not a condition of purchase.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the business:

• Service providers that act on our instructions — our customer-relationship and scheduling platform, email and SMS delivery, website hosting and analytics, and payment processing. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
• Madico, Inc., the film manufacturer, to register your product warranty where applicable.
• Legal requirements — where required by law, court order or to protect the rights, property or safety of Winsolux, our customers or others.
• Business transfers — if Winsolux is merged, acquired or sells its assets, customer information may be transferred to the successor, subject to the same protections.

Access to customer information is limited to the people who need it to do their job. Our systems use encrypted connections and password-protected accounts, and our team is trained on handling customer information appropriately. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

We keep customer and project records for as long as we have an active relationship with you and, after that, for up to seven years so that we can honour warranty claims and meet tax and legal record-keeping requirements. Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for a shorter period. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized.

Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
• Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Withdraw consent to marketing or SMS communications at any time.
• Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe we have not handled your information properly.

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to remember basic preferences and to measure site traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, although some features may behave differently. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of individual visitors.

Our services are for property owners and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with the date it was last updated. Material changes will be flagged on the website.
